2003 EC250 2 stroke What top end kit to buy?

Are the aftermarket top end kits on ebay any good? Dumb question?
Wish BBR made a kit.
What all should i replace when re-doing the too end?
How to check of reeds are good etc?.
This bike has been extremely reliable for many years! Even has a plate.
Appreciate any advice and parts sources.
What jetting is preferred and needle? I ride in WA state above sea level 500-2000?.
✌🏼

Jetting is a long one to answer, do a search on here. I like the Suzuki needles. Very smooth power delivery.
Top end kits don?t really exist for Gassers, I really rate the Wossner forged Teflon coated pistons. Try to stick to genuine gaskets. Some aftermarket ones are junk.
Check the squish and correct as necessary.

Here is a link to a kit that has all of the parts necessary to re-build the top end on your bike. You will need to match the piston size to your cylinder. If the cylinder needs a re-plate, send the piston (A size preferable) with the cylinder to the plating company.

Re: reeds. If they are chipped at all, or if you can see daylight between the petals, they should be replaced.
