Chainsaw Mount
Does anybody make a chainsaw mount for the front forks'2005 de 300'?
thank you . |
Now there's just about teh strangest bike question I've ever seen :)
Do you go through the trees instead of around them ? :D |
I've never seen one for any bike.
Sounds like a great idea though. Beats having to ride a quad.:) |
I use an 18" piece of 6" diameter flexible drainage pipe (called a big O around here) and a bungee cord to hold it on as a light weight guard for the chain, and a strap of some kind, like an old guitar strap, duffle bag strap, or even rope to throw over the shoulder. Keep the saw on your back or under your arm, or where ever its comfortable and doesn't flop around. Hope your saw is light.

Probably not for a GasGas but Promotobillet makes chainsaw racks for the rear of a few bikes.

The ones I have seen have been mounted to old bikes XR's and PE's
used for trail work. One was a crude piece of ply wood mounted with some u-bolts. The other was a custom job made out of Alum. by a machinist. He said you notice the weight while turning and wanted to mount it to the steering head. Good luck and keep us posted if you find a nice one. |

I usually just toss my chainsaw in a backpack with a sheath around the chain and blade.

Can see the headlines now... Chainsaw massacre of KTM owner by Psychotic Gas Gas rider! :D |
