EC250 2002 Plastics compatible with 1999 model?
 

Sorry for opening another plastics swapping thread.
But even after searching the internet, I am not sure whether this plastics/spoilers:

After reading in different forums, I understood, that only 1997 to 2001 and 2002 to 2006 would interchange.
But the bolt patterns look so similar and also the curvature on the top, where the spoilers meet the tank.

I would be very happy if somebody could help me out.

97-99 have a older style tank & same type of shroud. 2000-2011 will all interchange / different styles but same pattern for mounting.

Ok thanks a lot, but sorry for still not getting it quite right because I am not very good in understanding english.
So the shrouds I postet above are not interchangeable, because the boltpatterns do not line up due to different fueltanks between 1997-1999 and 2000-2011 models?

Going off of the pictures they'll interchange, the yellow ones are the newer mounting. The 97-99 shrouds don't have the top outside screw that goes into the tank. See this post for the 97-99 style shroud.

Okay, thank you thats the difference, I see...
So the 2002 shrouds I want for my 1999 Gasser are missing one of those 2 tabs (that the 97-99 shrouds do have) to bolt onto the tank but have one more hole I do not need.
But I should still be able to make it work right?
Maybe i can put a threaded rivet in the tank to put a screw into this extra hole so the missing tab would not be necessary.

I would find the correct shrouds or change the tank and seat to the newer style. Good luck!

So, now I got my hands on a 2002 airbox and a 2002 tank.
I also need to get a 2001-2006 seat, correct?
Do I need anything else to fit the newer plastics?

A 2000-2006 seat will work, it will have the cavity to fit around the tank.
