GAS GAS 450 coolant temp sensor
 
hello all, ive been having some trouble with my gas gas 450 now its a quad but im sure thell use this engine in other 450's my coolant temp sensor is knackered ive done some reaserch to find one in my local area no luck no body around me can get one but iv cross refranced the part number from (jaeger 401976) to a (magneti marelli 356200402) to a aftermarket number from eurocarparts.com (224330110) the sensor is from a 98 1.6 146 alfa romeo its 9.52gbp in uk plus 20% vat i think. i hope this is some help to some one.

It also fits a large number of European Fiat cars,Moto Guzzi and Ducati motorcycles so supply at a reasonable price should be easy. Here in the USA they are about $15 so comparable with they price you found. If you disconnect it, the ECU will load a default value and throw a code but will not stop it from being started or run. Probably run like crap though!

I might be wrong, but when someone posted the specs for some sensors, coolant, air and throttle position, they all looked very much like the magnetti marrelli ones found on the cosworths of the eighties.
Have a quick ebay check of cossie sensors and see if they are the same.
If they are, there will be hundreds on there and cheap.

Those are the same ones...Marelli have used the same sensor specs for years
