Decision time

Hey,
I have a 300 XC and a 300EC. Trying to decide which to keep. The EC is nice but the XC is a bit more potent. Both are 2019 models. I am going to keep one. Which one goes on the market?

I am a trail rider and may over the next few months start doing a bit of racing again. All views are appreciated.

Thank you

Oh and

I am 69 years of age and still love the thrill of dirt biking.

I'm only 59, but I think I would have kept the EC. I have an EC200 myself, and do some races a year. The reasoning for suggesting keeping the EC is the fact that it has a headlight. When you don't need it, you can just put on the xc number plate. I guess it would be more diffust the other way around.

Leaning that way

I see your point and makes sense. At my age either is all I could ever need I am sure.
Any other thoughts?
Thank you

Suspension

Are the suspensions the same on both bikes? I should know this but not sure.

I wish i had your type of problems ;-)

I would keep the XC as the stock headlights are only ok compared to a good LED. Pick up a Baja Designs Squadron Race and then you have the perfect bike! I may be biased as I have a 2018 xc with that headlight. Better lighting than your highway vehicle. Actually too bright for road use.

Dang

Now you have gone and complicated the decision. Back to the supension, neither is set up for me yet. Any difference in them?

The two bikes

I was lucky to find them both with extremely low hours, both less than 17 hours at good deals. Yes I can afford both but I have a 1986 Yamaha YZ250 as a post vintage bike.

My understanding is they are the same suspension.

Unfortunately for me mine was revalved for a much faster rider hitting a moto track so most of the comfort has been tuned out of it. Revalve over the winter for me.
