Hello everyone

I want to ask your opinion. What is the best setting for the powervalve if you riding hard enduro? This includes steep hills with rocks, roots and turns which meens that you have to close the throttle and open it again, mostly on 2nd gear. Is it better for PV to be activated sooner or later?

Hard one to answer. I'd say make a note of what it currently is then ride it, play around with pre-load.
I went from stock (ec 300 2018) to 2.5 out and it definitely feels stronger and more lively. This may or may not suit your riding style.

I would think for a hard enduro you would want to make it more tame to maximize traction.

I personally have it out to like 2 1/2-3 turns out. When I want the power hit to get up and over something I do not like the delay. I try to use the clutch and body position for traction control.

Ideally you want it tamer for hard enduro. rocks and roots is all about keeping the momentum without loosing your line (so minimal rear wheel spin) but the secret is to actually do all of that with your left hand (clutch) not the throttle

Try to find a graham jarvis POV video where you can see what his clutch hand is doing and listen to the engine (i seem to remember his sea to sky video from this year showed this on some of the climbs) it is all just above stall

Something i have picked up with trials is that you really need to work balance into the muscle memory - if you are not balanced when you accelerate your bike will break traction. a good drill is every night in your garage climb onto your bike and just try to balance on the pegs until your body knows exactly where balance is

I haven't even tried to adjust it on my 2018. Last 2 ggs before that didn't have the function so just rode it.

Like everything, it's personal preference. Also one of many variables. Gearing, tyre choice, engine setup (head/port timing), ignition timing, jetting.
