What I have always done is coat them with a little di-electric silicone grease. It'll make them stick in place and it won't hurt the o-ring.

Gently stretch them a little bit. They should stray stretched long enough to get the head in place. Carefully lower the head and give it a slight turn left and right. you should feel the o-rings seat properly. If you are really having a dificult time you may have the wrong size.

not uncommon based on others experiences (on this site) to be given one or both incorrect o-rings from the dealer. If they really don't seem to want to fit you may want to double check them. But as others have said, warm them a little and stretch them gently. They should easily stay put with a little grease.
Good Luck!

Best thing is to not remove the head.

By far the best. Although Jim is working on a Trials bike there is no difference.

Thx for Posting.
