Gas Gas Pipe Repair

Ok so I've been following the progress of HydraForce Pipe Repair for some time now, and see they finally have the kit for the Gassers.

Interestingly they note that the kit will not work on all GG pipes. My understanding is that the pipes from 2010 (at least) onwards are all the same with only the mounting points being different. (I suspect it is the manufacturers just covering themselves as they probably only managed to source a 2018 pipe to develop the prototype)

Anyway with my pipe and bike in a container somewhere on the indian ocean I am unable to confirm the dimensions shown on the link. My bike is arriving with a seriously bent pipe so would really like to get this kit ready for its arrival.

Is there anyone with a 201011 OEM pipe handy who is able to confirm the dimensions?

I just confirmed that the '18 silencer inlet is the same size as previous years.

Thanks and outlet too?

I have not checked the pipe inlet.
I'm pretty sure that is the same size as the previous years.

I have in my shed at the minute..
03- 300
06- 200
11- 250

Pipe swaps between all of them.

I checked part numbers for 2010 and 2018

Same manifold and o-rings
Same exhaust-silencer rubber joint

So should work for most years. Have sent them an email

I wonder if it actually works?
Seems like the hydraulic pressure would straighten the pipe out.

Yes, it seems to work well. A Gasser owner here in the valley used a hydraulic system to fix the pipe on my '18. The pipe was dented pretty badly and bent back into the skid plate where it covers the frame rail. I dropped it off and it was ready to pick up within an hour or two. Fit up was perfect when I re-installed it.

Grab a water pump and knock up a few bungs for the ends

You can also use a pressure washer, it’s a little less controlled though.

The benefit of using water over compressed air + heat is that it doesn’t explode if you over do it
