Milage gasgas ec 300 2019

Hi everybody,

I just bought a new gasgas ec 300 2019 model and I was wondering what milage you guys can do with a full tank?

I can do only 80km with 9 liters of fuel (ron98 Castrol premix)

Thanks in advance

Last time I switched to reserve at 92km then at the gas station filled 9,6 liters for 108km.

Check your float height. Switch fuel tap on, then tilt bike. It should start to dribble from the float chamber at over 40 degrees. If it starts earlier you need to set the float height.

I run a JD needle kit which also may help reducing fuel consumption.

Cheers
Doc

Should be able to get 100km fairly easily with any other needle than stock. Reserve is big in these tanks too!

I think it's on the ground and throttle!
I already had to put it in the reserve with 85 km in the wet terrain and already I had to run 105km with a dry terrain!
I think 90km is a good margin of safety!

What do you figure the reserve volume is on the 18+ bikes? I am not man enough to run enough mileage to hit reserve on our terrain...yet.

I reckon it would have to be 2.5-3L judging by the thickness of the lower tank wings. Mine goes to reserve around the 80-90km mark but have run it to 110km with a good litre left. Nearly all singletrack.

It's a VERY conservative reserve. Take cap off & look how high up 'on' hose is. First time I rode it it freaked me out that something was wrong with the engine haha.

I ran my tank to reserve just after I got it back in the truck.

Reserve on my 2018 XC300 is 3-quartz.

I refilled and checked my GPS ? 28 MPG on quick, desert single track (not much sand wash).

So, 72 miles per tank.

How much is 3 quatrz in metric(normal people;)) terms?
Can't remember what a US Gallon is, maybe 4L?
