Any members North Carolina?

Looking for some Gas Gas riders in the North Carolina area to hook up and ride with. I live just north of Charlotte.

I don't live in NC but couldn't help noticing your screen name. We're heading your way next week unfortunately this trip we're on a couple Ducs, not the Gassers.

Maybe you weren't making a reference but on the chance that you were here's our beast...

Nice looking dog

Nope, I don't have a redbone dog. The story goes like this, as a child I had bright red hair and my dad had a redbone coon dog that wouldn't hunt that I played with all the time. I got the nickname redbone from a combination of that. Anyhow the dog got traded for a goat, but I got to keep the nickname!

Too bad you didn't upgrade your nickname after the trade - you could have been the original "Greatest Of All Time"

That is a great story. I guess there was still a reference to the hound so I wasn't totally out to lunch.

Ross,

MN to NC on a Monster? Cool, let me know how that goes, take some pics. There is something about distance riding on a bike that was not really intended for it that is interesting and adventurous to me, even if its confined to asphalt. My brother (Buell XB9SX) and I just did a 700 mile 2 day that worked out great. I'd like to do a 3 day before the summer is out.

Sorry to disappoint you Glenn (and the thread jack redbone) but no, we're whimping out his time and trailering them. I have done the MN to NC trip and several other 3000 mi. week-long fully loaded camping trips on the monster but finally realized there is just too much slab freeway between MN and about everywhere there's good road riding. By the time you get there your tires have a huge flat down the middle... The first leg is great in WI but there's just nothing redeeming about droning down the freeway across IL and IN.

I'll see if I can scrounge up some pics of the fully loaded monster from the last NC trip for you.

Hey Redbone, I live north of Charlotte around Lake Norman and ride Gas Gas enduro and trials bikes. I know your post was from last year, but if you are still in the area, send me a message.
