Broken Frames

1 Attachment(s)
The frame on my 2012 EC250f broke while riding regular enduro without any major crashes. This was not a problem with Gasgas that I had heard of before. When I told other Gasgas owners about it I found out it wasn't that unusual. A buddy of mine had his 2014 EC300R broken after only about 30 hours (mine had 120). I spoke to a guy at the Swedish gasgas importer and he told me that sort of thing had only happened to pro-riders and was nothing I should worry about. When I told him that it has happened to my bike with the B-shape frame and a buddy with the new 2014 frame he had no comments about it. I know a Swedish pro that has done some MX with his EC300R and his frame broke and caused a major crash. Is this something you guys have experienced? I am in the market for a new bike and have always had gasgas with the exception for an orange 350 during a short period. I will probably buy a new GG but this frame problem is something that doesn't feel right.

That's the first I've heard of a frame break......I know of some foot pegs that have broken off at the mount but never a frame That would open your eyes for sure. My 201 has the 'B' frame and no issues so far + I just had it stripped and powder coated nothing showed at that time & I have had some big drops from jumps as well. What are they saying as far as repair/replace options?

Rip ass I've heard of (not gg) but clamps breaking could it be a Friday afternoon bike lol
I would be inclined to get it welded up properly. Should something be mentioned to gas gas as that's pretty bad

I have an unbroken 2011 EC250 frame for sale. It comes with an
Indiana title and is "street-legal". Make an offer.

With the angle of the forks/neck, one would think the bottom welds would rip open first. It never had a hit to the front? Did you already try welding on it, in the pic?

I'm guessing that since it's an 'F' he may be in Europe, better get 'over the pond' shipping price ready :D

Show the condition of the entire bike.

Usually the frames only break when the suspension is much too soft and the hits are getting into the frame.
