2011 EC300 48mm Sachs Fork Seals Needed

Hi all
The local seller offers me a set of two oil seals and two dust seals for $ 75 on my fork. Maybe there is some options - for other bikes, and other forks (48х57,9х9) what selling cheaper?

Any KYB 48mm seals will work.. I find OEM Honda 09 CRF450R (not X; they use 47mm showa) are the cheapest for genuine KYB.

They are quite different from my size (48х57,9х9), how can thay fit?

SKF fitting guide
http://www.jwtimports.com.au/downloa...ring-Guide.pdf

48mm ZF SACHS 48 x 57.9 x 9
48mm KAYABA 48 x 58.1 x 8.5

0.2mm difference in OD just means they need a little lube when seating the seal, and a little heat helps get them back out. 0.5mm depth makes little difference overall, especially considering the snugger fit.

I have used the OEM Honda/KYB seals in my Sachs for 300+hrs. I wouldn't use all balls fork seals if you gave them to me for free.

That link you posted: http://www.allballsracing.com/55-132.html

Shows fitment for Beta as well (all running 48mm Sachs or 48mm Marzocchi) as well as a big handful of Gas Gas bikes.

hi jakobl are the kyb seals you use twin spring type like skf

Jakobi 08-05-2017 04:19 AM

I'd have to check. Have a set here. Same seals that come OEM in Yamaha and Honda KYB's. I've found they last well, don't have issues with stiction (but not as smooth as SKF), and the price point is where it should be. SKF is a very expensive option. I usually run a set of SKF through for their dust wipers, and then couple them up with the KYB seals. Good combo.
