newb

picking up my first db this weekend, some might have seen it on ebay, feel like I got a good deal on it, regardless I am excited to get it home and try it out. From the info I got off the vin# it is a XC250 made in Jan 02. Any advice or criticism is welcome:D

Nice looking machine.

Advice...
Since it's your first DB, don't do like I did and take it in the back yard and loop it first thing. I hadn't ridden a dirt bike since my '74 CR 250 Husky and I was unprepared for the hit of a modern 2 smoke...:o

You & I are in the same boat. I bought my first dirt bike Saturday. The last time I rode a bike it was a old Honda 80 over 25 years ago.
It has rained here (MS) for about 12 days straight but Sunday morning I woke up very early to no rain. I decided to try it out. I was a completed surprised by the power the bike had. My neighborhood has only one area of grass & it's a "common" area around the lakes. I know everyone's wondering what jerk tore the sod all to hell. It was completely be accident.

My next ride will be in a wide open pasture, if it ever stops raining….

Thanks for the relies fellas, my bud has a sweet KDX220 and we are planning a trip to Lexington Kentucky in the spring, figure that should give me plenty seat time to tackle a big ride.
I will post better pics and have more questions after I get my hands on it.

Hey, I've been hauling mine on a hitch rack on a minivan. That's much better.

I love the raccoon!

I looked at the hitch haulers but they're all class III, I would need adapter or do some cutting and welding.
I have a couple ideas kicking around.
The little coon is funny as hell to me lol..
