2011 EC300 jetting

What are you guys running in your 11 300s, and 250s for that matter?

I have the stock needle and a CCK at my disposal.

1000 ft ASL.

Thanks
Scott

11' 250xc, upstate New York 150'- 2500'

pilot=42

needle=nedw 3rd (optional needle from an late model Suzuki rm 250) For the 300 I would use an NEDJ(half a step leaner) needle in the 3rd.

main=172

AS= 2 turns out

Stock #7 slide

I couldn't be happier with the jetting. It's crisp and clean from top to bottom, and the plug looks perfect.

The CC* and DD* series needles are gas hogs. I could not even go 32 miles on a tank of gas with either needle at race pace(A-Vet). They also hurt the topend and the bikes ability to climb back into the topend when the throttle is chopped. It felt like the bike needed a lot more clutching. But the one good thing about those needles is that they are smooooooth. The Stock needle is a throw away.

11 300 EC, CCK needle 2nd pos from top, 175main, 38 PJ, A/S 1 1/2 turns out. One of the things that I did that cleaned it up significantly was lower the float height roughly 2mm. Don't know why this changed things as much as it did but huge improvement, highly recommended mod.

Some of the other local guys here are running KTM N3.. needles, or Kawi needles or a YZ250 needle. I'm happy with the CCK and I get roughly the same mileage as my buddies on their KTM 300's.

You might want to confirm your Carb size 36mm or 38mm and ask for the size when getting jetting settings. Gasgas sent some bikes with 36's & some with 38's.

I got a 36mm. I would have preferred the 38 that the spec.s said they come with , but ...

What are guys running in the 36mm carbs?

Without squishes mods, jd blue, at Jd's recommended pj and mj, or nedw clip 3 40p 170m 1.5 out if completely single track, doesn't idle as well as jd, not as torquey but very linear and clean. With s3head I go up a pj and 175 main, in sand I go 175 main stock, 178 s3 head. Sea level to 3500'

11 250 with a 36mm, 50-200' 60-80 degrees 40 pilot with 180 main, yamaha yz250 N3EJ needle #3 position

the n3ej really fixed me up, I tried a few needles before I got that one, cck was close, little meatier, really good roll on from 1/3-2/3 throttle, but spooged quite a bit

2010 EC300 Race/Euro (same engine config as 2011s). 38mm PWK ASII.

I have found the NEDJ/N3EJ both to work well in the same clip positions. (2 or 1) depending on season. As stated the NExx is much smoother off the bottom (lacks some snap), and richer towards WOT (requires smaller main). The N3xx is more agressive.

Both offer alternate needles for half clip adjustments. NECJ/N3CJ.

I like to pair them with a 40 pilot, and 172 (NExx) or 175/178 (N3xx).

My experiences with the N1EF stock needle was that it was well rich in the lower openings and I also had to run it at a high clip position which seems to be normal for my conditions. I'm sure if you got hold of a N1EJ or NOZJ there could be some good results there too.
