2010 GasGas 250F Tuning help please!

Good afternoon lads!

Just bought a 2010 250F to use as a back up bike to the EC300!
Got to say I really like it so far. If you know you, you know, if not then its basically a Yamaha WR250F with gas gas bits.

Just got a few little bits to sort on it if anyone has any ideas for me.
First is I believe the carb is out, not sure which way but lacks power, splutters and sometimes pops on the low-mid range, then on power it flys!
So looking for a jetting kit in the UK but they all seem to be in the US and I'd like to know for definite if the carb is part that's come off of a Yamaha.

Secondly what dash does everyone use that's reasonable money as the OE one is flogged.

and if anyone has any advice they think its worth me knowing that would be great too!

Cheers for the help

Just define baseline stock settings, including accelerator pump and start from there.
Make sure spark plug, valves, no air leaks.
This is reliable motor in need of love, not tuning of a problematic function.
Once this is sorted, tuning can begin.
Its easy to find '09 - '11 yamaha WR settings and start from there.

Standard jetting and needle work well in them, an adjustable accelerator pump is probably the most worthwhile mod. But as above make sure the carby is spotless and the valves are all in spec. They are a good bike.

I would rather call it a Gasgas with a WR250F engine ;)

Cheers for the advice lads, going to get it stripped this weekend and see if i can find anything obviously wrong then, check clearances and such.
Got a re-build kit for the carb see if i can get it running on a stock set up :)

Wouldn't have bought it if it didn't say gas gas on the side! :D
