What fender with Yamaha KYB SSS forks??
I'm gathering parts to do the Yamaha fork conversion on my EC250. What fender do most use when converting to KYB forks? Has anyone modified the lower triple clamp to mount the 2011 type fender? Pictures are welcome! Thanks!

I'll be posting up my conversion here pretty soon.
Since you asked, here's what I did. I ground down the two bolt lugs on the front of the 3X clamp. Took a die (8mmx 1.25) and cut threads on the two vertical pins on the clamp. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ps93e35b8f.jpg I drilled two new holes in the GG fender-1/2" aft of the OEM holes. Then I made an L bracket to mount the front of the fender to the Yamaha clamp. I reused the two front holes in the GG fender. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ps036b3b41.jpg |

You're welcome.
Took me 2hrs to get this done. Most of that was trying different things to make the OEM GG fender work. The bottom of the headlight is moved foward about an inch. No big deal. |
Is your tire fairly centered in the arch of the fender with this mount? Would you've done anything different?

Do you need to use yz triple clamps or can you just slot the kyb into the GG ones with yz wheel and brakes?

i just bored my gas gas upper triple clamp to the size of the kyb fork on my 2010 sachs equipped that way i could retain my factory steering stops. with out the the stops you can very easily bend the upper fork tube in a wreck.

The easiest option would be to use a YZ front fender. |
Maintaining fast steering means maintaining the stock offset. The YZ parts do this. Mix and match and you lose it.
