2007 GASGAS 300 EC Rebuild
4 Attachment(s)
So it's Winter here not much else to do but drink beer and rebuild bikes so thought I would give the GASGAS a going over. I'm rebuilding the engine and giving the rest of the bike some attention. Thought I would post up some pics for interest. If you have any advise to pass along, please do.
I'll post up a few pics as I get things done. Scott |
Wow, you weren't kidding. What would make you go that far into it? 2007 year looks new. High hours? I have yet to dig deep into my 2003 300ec. Have fun and keep the garage warm.:D

Here is a few pics as it goes back together. Frame painted and added some Neoprene to the skidplate and covered the clutch cover in heavy vinyl.

frame looks awesome, maybe I should strip mine down, go red with white plastics and decal set. need to know what year plastics would fit, maybe up to 2006, I'm not sure.

Well the engine is all back together thought I would get the squish sorted out since I had 2+mm. Just got he head back today it's pushing 200psi right now guess it should drop a little. I think its sitting at 1.2mm now.

You will need to take a heap out of the chamber. You'll be at 16:1 if you haven't. Read my thread.
http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/sho...highlight=head The gauge is too crude a tool to tell you anything useful about compression Ratio. Ideally start by correcting the piston to head angle. |
