2011 250 cc

just finished setting up my new 250 its the cross country version i think its the model you get in the usa anyway the verdict so far is i love it the suspension is ohlin rear and zokes on the front it rides lovely turns great no need to revalve just set up and ride the only thing i changed was set the sag and moved the bars forward the only other improvement i will do is put a back mudguard and rear light you need it for enduros here everything else seems fine the jetting is perfect revs crisp the bike looks great this is my eight gas gas my last one was a 300 six day 09 model with sachs suspension i hated it and yes i did have the forks revalved and it did help but it was still not right it nearly turned me of gas gas for ever and trying to sell one with sachs is a nightmare but i kept faith with the brand and i am delighted i did because the 2011 is great its the reason i started riding gas gas a great two stroke motor and great handling

Glad to hear, are you based in Dub? Did you buy the bike from CCM? I just bought their left over 200. Great bikes.

Congrats on the new bike.

That's odd to hear about your problems with the Sachs suspenders, as I actually went for that setup over the Zokes/Ohlins. After talking with a couple well-respected suspension tuners over here they both said either setup could be made to work good, but both preferred the Sachs if given the choice. They did say the mid-stroke harshness of the Sachs forks need to be fixed, but at my weight I always plan for re-working the suspension.
