Needle suggestions?

I'm new to GasGas' and was hoping to get some needle recommendations for my '05 300. I ride at higher elevations (4k-11k ft) and was wondering which needles the forum has had good success with at higher elevations. I've had good luck in the past with the JD needles on some of my other 2 strokes but I'm currently unwilling to fork out that kind of coin for a couple of needles. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

download the pdf file and i'm sure you'll find someone riding in a similar situation as yours.

ciao, Hannes.

So according to the database, the LTR (unavailable?) and maybe a CCL? Any other suggestions? I put a CEL or CEK into my father-in-law's '03 EC 300 and it worked alright. Maybe I'll buy those and start there.

'03/'05 same carb and motor. CEL/CCL, CCK/CEK will be in the ballpark. The JD red should be very good, and is the same needle in all the JD two stroke PWK kits, so may be able to find one used. What slide? Sometimes a #8 is in order for a 300 at altitude.

DDK works for me!

It's sad that I posed this question to the forum before even looking to see what jets are in the carb. It actually runs surprisingly well considering the 4k elevation change. I guess the reason that I asked is because the Red JD needle I used to have is in my friend's KDX and my CEL or CEK that I had is in my father-in-law's bike. I can't help but tinker so maybe I'll buy a few of the suggested needles and check the slide (the '03 had a #7). Thanks everyone!
