Radiator hose prob?

Hello,
Have had this happen twice now on the 12.
The bottom hose that connects to the thermostat comes undone and pops off.
After the first time I changed the clamp to a proper hose clamp instead of the factory push clip things.
It happened again tonight and it looks as if the bottom of the thermostat is reducing in circumference as you move away from the thermostat itself, therefore if the clip is not real tight and happens to move a little it will come off.

I was thinking about putting a joiner pipe in place of the thermostat, anyone done this?

Cheers Mark

I would get rid of the thermostat. I had a real bad experience on my 12 when the thermostat housing blew apart sending hot coolant out. I could share some pictures of my leg after words but probably too gruesome for this site!
Checkpoint off road sells a in line cooler that what I replaced my with. When I got my 13 the thermostat was the first thing to go.

Ok, maybe that is the way I will go then. Is it just a joiner or a special part?
Do you have a link by any chance.
Cheers Mark

I'd just get a joiner and slap it in there Mark. If you source em out and they're cheap let me know. I'll probably grab one too.

Thanks Nath,
Jake , probably will look for a joiner. Will let you know.
By the way the forks are better and don't bottom anywhere near as much now.
Cheers Mark

I got rid of the t-stat housing after my '13 burned down. I never tested it but I suspect a failed t-stat was part of the problem. I just did an in-line cooler, no problems since.

Take the thermostat out and stick the temp sensor for a nice shiny new Trail Tech. At least that's what I did
