What's the deal with OSSA now?

So does anyone know what ever happened to the relationship that GasGas had with OSSA from 2014? Is that still around? Did it disappear with Torrot?

Anyone know anything? I'm just wondering for wondering's sake. :D

Just looking around the web - it looks like they never "got it going again" after they shut down a few years back... e.g. their corporate website is "kinda gone" - been hijacked by someone else, etc.

Your post did give me a bit of nostalgia - there was a young woman I went to junior high school with - mid 1970s - she had an ossa phantom (might have been her dad's but she rode it - lucky girl). The ossa was very fast and very beautiful - when new... I think it had fiberglass fenders - which didn't hold up well...

My father raced enduro on an Ossa Phantom. He said it was very light weight compared to most of the other bikes at that time. Had to make his own skid plate to keep the exhaust from getting taco'd on tree crossings.

I just sold my 75 Super Pioneer to fund my 73 CB 750.

I always liked that model bike. I had a '75 Pursang 250, & Montesa '76 VA 360, '77 VB 360 & still have a bought NIB '80 VF 414, but never had a chance to own a Phantom. Contrary to what my wife says, I couldn't own them all.:)

I heard, or more likely read, that they were light weight, fast & handled well, but a little fragile. Sounds a lot like the twin shock YZ 250 I had.

Too bad they couldn't make a go of it.
