Never needed em...but now I know

Whacked some trees pretty hard Sunday.

Bent the barkbuster to the point it was almost touching my fingers, and bent the bar back as well. Bent my peg up like AZRick did, and THANK GOODNESS for radiator braces or they would have been toast too.

Normally don't get real aggressive but was that day.

I will not go without Barkbusters and radiator guards ever. I have considered skipping them since I rarely crash and extremely rare that it is a bad crash.

Not sure what boots would have saved my broken toes...but I am looking...

I SLAMMED a tree stump at speed while wearing a pair of Alpinestar Tech 10's...I am convinced that they saved my foot from severe injury.

Gaerne or A-stars.. I have the sg-12's.. I trust them completely..

Gaerne

The speed I was going and considering it got wedged between the tree and the bike on impact. Only my old Scott boots of old could have helped.

For those who aren't in the know of such old school items.

Additionally I am almost walking without a limp...perhaps in a couple more days. Big toe was all good so...Thought I broke the whole foot at first then I just followed the discoloration after the swelling went down. My wife is such a farmer. She was like, they can't do anything for broken toes so why bother?
