Gasket Fitment - Cases

Hi All - finally got all the parts to put my 2011 EC250 back together and the gasket i've been supplied seems a bit off. See the picture. According to the part number it's the correct one for my bike.

I've asked the place I got it, from but I probably won't hear back being a Sunday, and figured I'd ask the Brains Trust if I'm missing anything?

I can probably fudge most of it to get pretty close but that bottom hole will certainly need to be cut a bit to get the bolt through.

The top one is nothing to worry about but the bottom hole is average at best. I always stick to genuine gaskets for Gasgas I?ve tried them all and they all fit like crap. You could re punch it and put some gasket sealer in that spot but I?d be buying a genuine centre case gasket at least.

Copy Nate.. No fun having to go through the process of pulling an engine and splitting the cases again for a few bucks worth of gasket.

When I last did a bottom end I found the gasket in my spares had torn along a seam.. I was bummed, but ultimately knew that a new gasket was required.

Cheers guys. I'll source a GG one I reckon like you say, do it once and all that.

Check you have the correct year of gasket!

There is a slight difference in the areas you pointed out for the up to 2005 and post 2005 where the castings changed slightly due to removal of the counter balancer casting with the flat top generator cover.

#Edit
Found the scans I took of the gaskets I got.
Red one is upto 05
Grey is 05 on overlaid.

Main differences are 2 holes around crank case and casting difference under the reed area. Confirmed by fitting 2001 LH to 2006 RH cases.

Thompo you are a legend thank you. Clearly they've provided the earlier version.

I've gone back to the supplier, take two!

Happy to help,
I look after the 3 GG in our group (03, 06 & 11) and like to keep a record of what is transferrable should the need arise :) Also i have access to a cnc cutter and a sheet of gasket material lol.
