Rear Axle

Some advice please, I have removed the bearings from the rear wheel because the wheel had some play in it. I cleaned the axle with a wire brush to remove some dirt and rush/old grease and found wear makes where the bearing are located on the axle, it's like a very small grove worn into the axle the width of the bearings. Btw the old bearing where fine however these will be replaced.

Question do I need a new axle?

Thank in advance :) EC 250 2008
