guy you should move this to the general section so more eyeballs will see it. I'm not sure but it sounds like your frame developed cracks at the engine mount welds big enough to let oil in the frame sump to seep out. If this is correct I would settle for nothing less than a brand new frame and imo I think a whole new bike is in order. Those bikes go for about $7000 USD in my nieghborhood. thats too much money for bad frame welds. thats a manufacturing defect. If it was caused be a bad weld ... how many other welds are on that frame?? Get a new bike or new frame. Nothing less!! The fact that the dealer is suggesting plastic metal would scare the hell out of me!! If dealer gives you a hard time go to the gas gas rep. No luck there go to the importer. no luck there call spain.

If you have a 2006 FSE you will find that it is not a crack in the frame but a small pin hole in the weld and the oil is from the breather going into the frame
and leaking, It not a big deal I just put a bit of steel cement on the pin hole and painted it black. and now I have 9500km and no problems.
If it is a pre 2006 model it is the dry sump type and the frame is used for an oil tank, but not on the 2006-2007 models.
