hey guys ,
wanted to share with u my project and try to solve an issue i have with my suspension ,
this my gasgas 2014 32kw hp very nimble machine,
i think its like lighter then the gasgas 300f engine (didnt weight)
the rear suspenion feel great,
but the front feels to harsh,
i dont know if anyone changed the spring inside by the manual it should be 42nm, but the fork feels harsh,
i have changed the bushings and seals and oil 2.5 in chamber and ouuter chamber (290cc) preload 0 , pfp fully open , comp 24 clickls out rebound about 18 clicks out,
front sag with rider 45mm, (manual says 55-65mm for enduro),
my weight is around 80kg(battery weight 16kg ,motor 15kg including brackets, controller 5kg)
the fork feel harsh in low speed in enduro rdiding and abit above,
would love to get ur help im thinking to buy 4nm or 3.8 springs

Welome! Fun to see someond building an electric bike. I woul like to heat more about your conversion.

When it comes to front suspensjon, there are a number of things you could try:
Lighter oil (right now I run GRO 2.5 in mine)
Less oil (I usually use about 250cc)
A lighter PFP spring (I use the lightest one from racetech)
And of course a rebuilt shim stack, ideally it should be built for your personal speed, track type and ability.

If you ned more details, please ask. We are a number of people here that has some experience with the 48pfp forks

I see you mention that your front sag is less than the manual suggests. You could also try to reduce the spring preload. That is easily done.
According to the manual, your weight of 80 kg is close to ideal for the OEM springs. I interpreted it as your body wheigt is 80kg. But what about the bike weight? Is that any lighter than the bike was when it had a petrol engine? If so, you must also take that into consideration.
Could you put the complete bike on a scale? I don't know what the 300f weighs, but I would guess 110-115kg with some fuel.

If the fork is too harsh, I would also try to reduce the damping. Hence my other suggestions.

I am a bit heavier than you, I guess I'm close to 100kg with my riding gear. I run the standard springs in the fork and a heavier spring at the rear in my 2015 EC200. I have done all the things I mentioned to reduce the compression damping, as my speed is quite low and the standard fork is too heavily damped (for my use)

I would sort the spring first. Without that being correct you'll never get things right. If you lost/gained weight due to the EV conversion then you'll need to add/subtract that amount from your body weight to figure out the correct spring. That said, since your sag isn't right, then you already know the spring is too stiff. Fix that and go from there.

Do you have the spring list and weight for this forks?

There is a list in the user's manual. I don't have the 300f manual from 2014, but I have the twostroke manual from 2015. The forks are the same. The bike might be a little lighter than the fourstroke, but not by much.

I have weighted the dirt bike including battery's, the weight is 102 kg
Ec300f weight dry 109,with fuel oil and coolant about 120,
So I'm almost 20kg lighter...

Then I would suggest 3.8 springs
