Suggestion: RMATV stocking Gasser consumables

Being such a big company with the buying power they have I just wondered if they would forsee themselves stocking Gasser parts at some point, so I put it forward to them via Live Chat. They couldn't give an answer however said it would be put down in their suggestions area.

I figure if they received enough interest (ie from us) then it might just happen. I'm only thinking parts like air filters, chains, sprockets, levers etc. Genuine I have no issues going through a dealer.

I feel it would be a great move forward and assist in making Gas Gas a bit more of a family name.. Not that we need that :D

RM ATV already stocks most of the GasGas consumables but they don't list them for gasgas. For example they have cr250 air filters that fit gassers perfectly and rear sprockets for Husky that are the same as GasGas but no listing to let uninformed customers know. The two consumables they probably don't stock are front sprockets and clutch levers.

Anyone know where I can find the comparable bike (EC300) for the Stealth Supersprox rear sprocket on RMATV. I can't seem to find anything

Supersprox # is RST1512-49 for a 49 tooth rear annd I keep them in stock for my GG guys along with the aluminum model for my GG guys on a budget,

and for what it's worth- ask your local dealer if he can get them for you. I understand if you live in BF Egypt and no dealer around but if we support our dealers we will have a better network of GG people. RMATV & other online outlets do hurt local dealers. I know local CAN be higher but that money typically stays in your local economy and helps grocers, car mechanics, schools etc. I ask my customers to at least give me a chance to match online pricing. I find that if I can get reasonably close they'll give me the business. Sometimes I get close enough to get the sale, other times I can't touch it. Realistically with all the MAP agreements from distributors your local dealer is still a good deal in most cases AND the money stays home.
Rant over ..:-)

they do stock the clutch lever - can't remember the crossover, but i've posted it before. they definitely won't have front sprocket.

All the braking system is cross over with other models aswell. Perhaps someone from here could work with RMATV to build up the product listing or parts cross over. Would make it much easier than trying to chase up part numbers every time we want to find something and help to dismiss the 'gas gas are hard to find parts for' theory..

I just did a shop around as I bought new chain and sprockets myself. The price different between RMATV and Scotties was hardly notable on these higher end components.

Supersprox Stealth Rear Sprocket | Reviews for Supersprox Stealth Rear Sprocket $79.95 ? $89.95

Renthal Front Sprocket (No Talons)
Our price: $20.99

DID 520 X-RING Chain 520x114
Our price: $106.99

Total $218. I got the lot from Scotties for $260 delivered. Once paying delivery on RMATV it would bump up about the same. Few dollars here and there.

Gassers use two different clutch levers - both have an adjustable pin to push on the master cylinder. On one that pin is inline with the pivot hole while the other is offset. The offset one seems to be harder to find.

This rings true and i try to help the local dealers/shops by going there, but here in AUS we get thoroughly reemed on the price. You guys would freak if you knew how much we pay for some stuff.
Hence why we use US online stores.

Example. Twin Air filter for a 2010 EC300 - $40

I agree with supporting local dealers and I have a really good relationship with my local, and have also purchased from another Australian gg dealer who has been fantastic. I purchase all my fluids from them along with misc parts as required. I pop into the local dealer at least twice a month and always walk out with something after having a chat.

I was simply suggesting that if a big retailer as rmatv is seen to be stocking and selling parts then we could all benefit when buying bulk orders as well as giving the brand some more exposure. At no point did I intend to step on any dealers toes. You've all proven yourself to be a great bunch.
