100-105. You fully dressed , full of fuel, camel bak with candy bar, tool belt. 20 mm free sag, 25 to 30 even better.

How did it work out? I have just measured mine up and am at about 40mm static, and 115mm race.. But wasn't geared up for it. I have been happy with the way the bike has been handling here..

What are the differences in handling when running less sag vs more sag?

I set mine to 110mm on my 2011 six days. this is the best setting I found. It was at 100mm from the factory and rode real rough. taking it to 110mm made it much better.

More sag, less preload, means the rear end squats down more, rakes the front end out a bit(worsens the steering, good for sand whoops)
Less sag, more preload, holds the rear end higher, steering gets better(marginal) can make the ride harsher.
Having the sag on either side of optimum will make the bike feel out of balance and it wont ride as well as it could.

Thanks Noobi, thats what I thought too. I cranked down on my preload a tad to take it from 115 race sag to 105. 45 static down to 35. Hopefully it'll work well once i throw a few kg of gear on!!
