If we make it... would you buy it?

I have seen a few comments about "unbreakable' type levers, AVS, ARC etc....

Is this something you guys would buy if it was available?

JRDoz 06-03-2008 08:08 PM

Are you the manufacturer ?

Asv

We actually have the brake side lever from ASV in stock and it is available from them, with a lead time of about 4 more weeks for the clutch lever to be available from them. We hope to have on the new catalog in August.

Steve, Make a run of your pipes. Something that has a linear power curve with some overrev. I am not convinced the new fatty gnarly shape is indeed new. Another good pipe choice would be well recieved.

As an off road rider with bark busters - not me. I haven't broken a lever in over seven years.

I haven't broken a lever in more years than I recall, so no (now I'll probably break off both this w/e!)

Boy this is discouraging, 5 responses and no sales.

RE: "JRDoz" - They are being made for Motowest by one of the majors.

RE: "wannabe" - These brake and clutch levers are on the shelf and ready to ship.

RE: "PEB" - I would love to but I think all 8 of the GasGas riders in this country already have one of my pipes. (I'm sorry, it's very frustrating being a GG dealer)

RE: "Dave" - I've seen many bikes with these levers and handguards. I know it doesn't make sense, I just thought people liked spending money on their toys. You sure you don't want to change your mind?

RE: "LAWMAN" - Oh yeah you jinxed it now.

I would probably buy a set, I haven't broken a lever in forever also, but I like a little bling bling on my ride . Would they come in colors or just silver?

Steve,,
I'd also take a pipe,, of course, I dont have a current gg as of now, sold my 03 and plan on an 08 or 09 250. Have one of your pipes on my 97, its one of your original prototype pipes and hands down it has been the best pipe I've had on my GG.. If it fit better on my 03 it would have stayed on it.. it made it run great! I just wish it wasnt mashed to the point of no return,, been fixed at least a dozen times,, getting brittle..

I bend many clutch levers, but usually I can manage to put them straight again with the nylon-head hammer... I break one or two every year...(with the yamaha Wr I had previously they broke more often than they bent)

I think they are very very handy if you practice enduro with "close to trial" areas ( well, it's more like trying to prectice) ...

I've never broken a lever for falling with some speed, the clamp just rotates on the handelbar... but when I fall from a rock or trying to climb a steep slope where you have no room to take speed, and I cant hol the bike... breaking the a lever I son easy ...

I dont know if many people wold buy them 'couse the closed handwards usually work, but still many people prefere the open ones...

I think it's worthed to try....
