Be sure to retorque the head and jug fasteners after a couple heat cycles. I didn't last time and sucked the base gasket out of alingment.

Do you think the head and jug fasteners should be retightened on a new bike after a few heat cycles, or only after a new top end.

Also, are the above torque values applicable to lubricated fasteners or unlubricated fasteners?

I always lube the bolts on my bikes especially since so many connections involve dissimilar metals (steel and aluminum).

I don't know about the new bikes, I have never owned one(poor me).

I'm almost 100% sure its for unlubricated nuts and bolts.

I generated that XL sheet eight years ago, probably time for an update. What seemed excessive in the GG manual was corrected with industry standard values for the relative fastener sizes and materials. No specs so assume dry fasteners. With Antiseize you can knock off up to 30% I beleive. Thats why I said elsewhere go lower on the T-clamp torque, as the bolts should be antiseized.

Yeah, after greasing the lower triple clamp bolts and torqueing them to the specs in the chart the forks seemed a little sticky. I backed them off a little, and the fork action improved.

I'll take 30% off for the lube. Thanks.

I'm down to 8 - 10Nm on the GG lower clamp with antiseized bolts.
