Wheels spokes hubs etc

JUst a quick question, I have found a crack in the front wheel of my 2001 EC300, and found a few seized spokes.

My question is can I buy a KTM front wheel complete and have my hub laced using the rim AND spokes from the ktm (wheel is used but new condition and a LOT cheaper than brand new) plus I can then sell the hub. I guess what I am asking is, are the spokes the same, I assume the rim is,

from the add:ktm or husaberg DiD branded, 21'' x 1.60 36 spoke and 20mm axle size

I don't think the spoke lengths are the same. The hub flanges should be different between GG and KTM. Measure the spoke length of each brand. If they are the same, you're in luck. The rim should be no problem though. I did the same on my 98 rear wheel and GoFasters sent me spokes that were required.

Might be easier to get appropriate spacers made up and just use the KTM wheel complete. A friend did that with a rear wheel, maybe it would work for the front? More chance with a front as you don't have to have matching sprocket to disk distance.

spokes

I let the wheel on ebay go as I was not too sure but there are plenty of bare rims, so I just need spokes... I cant find them on GoFaster, where else should I look, local or online? anyone have a part number for genuine or aftermarket?

Did you look just online or call them up? I had to call them and give them the spoke lengths over the phone and they sent them right out. Very good guys to work with.

I put a KTM front wheel on my 450GG. Used a late model (after 2003) KTM wheel. Needed to replace the bearings, seals and make my own spacers. Also had to use the KTM rotor.

All in all, it wasn't all that much trouble. I'm not sure what size axle for your model. 20mm or 25mm. If it's a 20mm just about any front wheel can be made to fit.
