'12 ec 300 kickstarter crossover
 

I'm pretty sure I can replace my oem kickstarter with the yz 250 kicker. Is this true? Do I need a certain year yz kicker? What makes it a better option than oem? Will be needing to replace mine as the bend where foot bar meets the kicker bar, is bending from kicking. Weird...must be made of cheeze. Does the yz kicker have better/easier angles for kicking?

In response to your last question; yes. It is a much better bend imo.

My 12 kickstart lever broke in Feb. Bought a yz250 02-13 off ebay for like $70ish, slid right on and is much better quality. Weren't any used...

I test fit my buddy's kickstarter from his '06 YZ250F (they look to be the same '06-current on the 250F) and it fit as well... he wouldn't trade me though! That might give you more options for finding a used one. Even though it is barely longer, my 300 seemed much easier to kick with the Yamaha kicker on there. That will likely be the next thing I buy for the Gasser.

I bought a yz450f kicker by mistake 2 years ago when mine broke. The splines are to big, but when I did get the correct yz250 kicker I switched the 450 licker for the 250 kicker(just the spline pieces) The 450 kicker is way thicker and looks good.
