Speed sensor Trail Tech Vapor
3 Attachment(s)
The GasGas EC 125 2006 comes with a Trail Tech Vapor computer OEM.
This includes the speed sensor, temperature sensor, etc. However I can't find anywhere to screw in the speed sensor. Im pretty sure its supposed to be screwed into the brake caliper, but I cant find anything there, on the forks, on anything. Anyone know anything about this? The large holes on the caliper are WAAYY to large for the speed sensor

IF you look above the lower caliper bracket bolt, you'll see an 8 mm threaded hole. Buy one of these: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...QaAlrKEALw_wcB Then, splice that into the wire coming out of the reed switch you're holding, thread the new reed switch into that 8 mm threaded hold, and plug the other end into your computer. You'll be good to go. |
Curious about this also. I don?t have any computer on my 2011 ec250. I was looking at buying a Vapor but have no idea how I could mount it with the Flexbars

Noobi06 just make a bracket to hold the sensor and use one of the caliper bolts to mount it.
Wbdisco I made a mounting bracket and bolted it to one of the crossbars. I can take some pics Friday if you like. |
Sweet, i need to order the Vapor

My bike had holes in the triple clamp from stock, which also comes with a bracket which you can buy OEM in the parts diagram of the 2006 Ec 125

Work?
I cant find the hole you are talking about. I dont want to be drilling or purchasing stuff. This must have been screwed on somehow sometime.
Either way, I was thinking glue or double sided tape on the fork or something. Do you think thats a good enough idea? Can be seen on this video at 7:47 https://youtu.be/Rg8nPCTBX7I?t=467 |
You cant stick it on the fork leg like the video you have inverted forks the suspension working will knock it off. I will get you some pics tomorrow.

The first pic is the sensor you should have, what you have is a universal sensor. The second and third pics is the bracket I made for my DR350. I made it out of some recorder inch strap aluminum. |
