Front Sproket
I have read a lot about rear sprockets, but can't seem to find anything on the front.
What brands do you all use and where do you get them? 99 EC200 is the bike. I have a 12/48 gearing now. Looking to go with a 13 on the front and leave the 48 on rear and go from there. Front is cheaper than rear, so seems like a good start. |
GG only, no interchange. Check ebay or the forum supporters. They're cheap.
Sorry, I thought you meant interchanges. Being steel the fronts last a long time pretty much whatever brand, just my opinion. Pretty sure 13t front was stock. I run 13/50 and my kid runs 12/49 if it matters. |
I bought a Renthal 12 tooth a couple years ago through GoFaster's. My local bike shops' catalogs did not list the application so I'm not sure how easy it is to get on the local level. My factory 13 tooth was made by Talon if I remember correctly.

JT makes steel sprockets for the front.

I have Used DID O or X ring chains with good results for many years. The X ring type has somewhat lower rolling friction.
