Considering a 2007 gasgas mc250

Hello. I'm new to the forum and wanted to get thoughts on a 2007 gasgas mc250 for trail riding. There is one for sale near me looks low hour and good shape. I'm going to go check it out, but don't know much about them.

Awesome bike. I used to have one. Super light and razor sharp handling.
The engine revs pretty quick too.

I have an owner's manual for that bike if you want it.
Has all the torque specs and maintenance guides.

Went and looked at it. Bike is nice. Exhaust was rattling at high rpm, but no other issues. Not sure if it was the bolt holding it to the frame as it looked like it had a rubber insert that was old or the springs. He took it on trade so he didn't know much about it. I thought it was a mc but it had hookups for the headlight, taillight, and a kickstand. Would those still be there on the mc? He was asking 2300, would take 2000. Is that good, bad, fair.

It's a very old bike
Who knows what has happened to it.
That said I have an 07 300 and no intentions of selling
I just love it.

Read the jetting threads. Stock they aren't near their potential

Look for "MC" in the vin # on the frame and near the engine # near the shift lever shaft. If it's a MC it would have a 19" rear wheel unless it's been changed over the years. The pipe noise wouldn't scare me, it's probably touching the frame or engine somewhere or the pipe O rings are shot. Or both. If it's really nice, clean and low hour and nearby I'd pay $2000 for it. If it's just fair or rough - way less. Gasgasman could tell you but I think the wiring harness did have the connectors for the headlight and tail light - only - no turn signals, brake light connectors ect. though. Very simplified wiring harness.

Dont know about 07, but in 05 MC had 50mm forks.
