txt 200 pro question

was out tooling around on my 2002 txt200 pro and all of the sudden had a huge coolant leak.. the sensor came out of the housing and i dont see how it was in there..
can or should it be bypassed and wire the fan direct or get a replacement housing/switch ?
thanks in advance
jay

I would try and get it back in the housing again. Even if you had to use some Tie wraps or High Temp silicone to hold it in place. I've heard of wiring them to a switch. But I would rather have the fan only come on when needed not running on a switch.

it looks like an oring would go in it, but i dont know what would hold the switch in...

Tried to look it up for ya...but nothing prior to 05 is listed. Yes I would say a very small high tem o-ring is missing.
Give Jeff a shout tomorrow @ Gofasters 320-839-7143
He'll be able to help ya out.

Ya I went out and pulled my tank on my 07. And I'm pretty sure it's located in the rad somewhere.
I think I remember a little metal clip holding the sensor in place on my old JTR 270. (inline tee same as yours.)
Let us know how you make out.

I would think your rad cap would have popped first.
