Jetting Database - PLEASE ADD YOUR SETTINGS

Here is a summary of the Jetting Database:

How to enter your jetting data:
I thought it would be useful to start a GasGas jetting database. The goal is for people to just list what they are using (or have used). It will be important to follow a "common format" in order to allow quick comparison of data.

IMPORTANT:
It will be beneficial that users list only ONE bike setup per post. If you have several temperatures/conditions for the same bike, please list them in separate posts. Likewise, if you own multiple bikes, please list them in separate posts.

Also, please do not post questions in this thread. If you have a specific questions, start a separate thread so others can respond.

Database Format
{Copy & Paste the following lines in your post}

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bike year & model =
Temperature (degF) =
Elevation (feet) =
Main jet =
Pilot jet =
Needle & notch =
Air screw setting =
Throttle valve/slide =

Results:

Thanks!

Bike year & model = 2007 EC250
Temperature (degF) = 25-35 degF
Elevation (feet) = Sea level to 1000 ft
Main jet = 185
Pilot jet = 45
Needle & notch = LTR, #3 notch
Air screw setting = 1 turn out
Throttle valve/slide = #7

Results:
The throttle response was good from idle to 1/2 throttle (i.e., the pilot and needle clip were good). With the 180 main jet, I'm getting some hesitation around 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. I changed to a 185 main jet. This helped the upper range. I noticed the bike had hesistation around 1/4 to 1/2 throttle in rain mode. In sun mode, it felt better. Also, I use Amsoil Dominator at 40:1 mix with 94 octane fuel.

2003 MC250
Temperature (degF) = 40-85 degF
Elevation (feet) = Sea level to 5000 ft
Main jet = 172
Pilot jet = 35
Needle & notch = N3YF, #3 notch
Air screw setting = 1.5 turn out
Throttle valve/slide = #9
Amsoil 100-1
Results:
Throttle response is outstanding everywhere, very good idle and very good cold start properties as well.

Loosenut 02-06-2008 01:40 AM

Bike year & model = 2005 EC300
Temperature (degF) = 30 - 60
Elevation (feet) = sea level to 4000
Main jet = 172-175
Pilot jet = 42
Needle & notch = CCK #3
Air screw setting = 1.5 - 2
Throttle valve/slide = #7

Results: Bike has RB headwork. This jetting results in a smooth power taking advantage of the headwork and making the power smooth, yet ample. Prior to the headwork, I used the LTR needle,#3 clip position and the #8 slide.

Bike year & model = EC300 2003
Temperature (degF) = 32 - 55
Elevation (feet) = 0 - 1000
Main jet = 180
Pilot jet = 42
Needle & notch = CCK #3
Air screw setting = 3
Throttle valve/slide = #7

Results:
Smooth

Bike year & model = 2007 EC250
Temperature (degF) = 45 - 65 degF
Elevation (feet) = Sea level to 1000 ft
Main jet = 182
Pilot jet = 48
Needle & notch = LTR"-0" #3
Air screw setting = 1.5 turns out
Throttle valve/slide = #7

Results:

Runs clean and strong, not much to complain about. Drop to 45 pilot in summer to clean up idle, thats it.

GMP 02-08-2008 05:41 PM

Bike year & model = 2007 EC250
Temperature (degF) = 45 - 65 degF
Elevation (feet) = Sea level to 1000 ft
Main jet = 182
Pilot jet = 48
Needle & notch = JD Blue #3 (from JDKH01 kit)
Air screw setting = 1.5 turns out
Throttle valve/slide = #7

Results:

Very much like the LTR -0 needle, perhaps a little crisper response off the bottom. Idles very clean. Drop to 45 pilot and adjust air screw in summer, thats it.

Note:
This bike is very tolerant to environmental changes and was very easy to dial in. Eaisest bike I ever jetted. Makes great power in both map settings with great milage.

Bike year & model = 04 DE300
Temperature (degF) = 40-80 degF
Elevation (feet) = 900ft
Main jet = 178
Pilot jet =42
Needle & notch = 1369D 2nd clip
Air screw setting = 1.5 turns out (keep forgetting to play with-tiny bit rich)
Throttle valve/slide = #7

Results: Good idle, smooth controllable power, deceptively fast.

eff 02-19-2008 05:32 AM

Bike year & model = 2004 DE250
Temperature (degF) = 35 - 50 degF
Elevation (feet) = Sea level to 1000 ft
Main jet = 178
Pilot jet = 48
Needle & notch = LTR -0 #4
Air screw setting = 2-2.5 turns out
Throttle valve/slide = #7

Results:
Bike runs clean and smooth in colder weather. As the temperature warms above 50º I will move the clip to #3 and adjust the air screw as needed. Above 70º and I move the clip to #2.

cladoo 02-19-2008 09:55 AM

Bike year & model = '07 EC300
Temperature (degF) = 20c
Elevation (feet) = 3500'-6500'
Main jet = 165
Pilot jet = 40
Needle & notch = LTR -2
Air screw setting = 2
Throttle valve/slide = #7

Results: I run Amsoil Dominator @ 50:1 ,Iridium NGk plug, no other engine mods. It works great.
