Ec125

Ok,
I have an 07' EC125 and i love, but there are no threads about how to jet said 125 for maximum performance.
So are there any demon tuning tips that will make my bike run better?

Hi, again. Good to see you came here.

So post your altitude, humitity, temp, and what your curretn jetting is and the result. Then tell us what you would like it to be.

THANKS!!!

OK
temp average for where I ride is about 10 - 25 degrees c
humidity id say between 65 - 75
height above sea level, bugeer all, maybe 0 - 1000 feet

and i havent yet got to the jets because the some of the screws are stripped so ill take it to my local bike shop and get them to do a once over

but the gasgas retailers here run their ec125s with
180 main
45 pilot
NOZI needle n the 3rd
and a #6 slide

this may be whats in it atm, but I dont believe the bike was bought here but imported from south africa when the owners moved, so the jetting could still be south african jetting, unless they changed and im just trying to track down the previous owner to see if he has a history

Alright so report back when you find what it has in it.

Noobi,

Talking with Boni at Gas Gas during my trip to Sapin. He said the best carb setup for the 125 is to get rid of the 38 and got to a 36 for better overall power. He said the top end loss is not noticable, but the mid is much better. I didn't ask about the jetting as Spain has better quality fuel then the US. I will be on a 09 125 which is the same basic bike. So once I get it sorted I will report back.

Brian, Will the 125 be in addition to a 250 or 300? Once again I must say the bike you sold me flat out rips. I still can't believe the front end, it just begs for abuse.

Yep, in addition to another 300. I am so glad you like the 300. Some guys hate the 50mm zokes. I loved them. Esp. the way they handled. I am also stoked the new 09 came with larger ignition. I had a 09 that was sent over earlier for show and it had the smaller ignition and even with a 12 oz. flywheel weight, I couldn't get it to lug like the large ignition.

I have a 200 and a 36mm carb, not fitted. If I knew a rough starting point for jetting I'd be tempted to try and swap it on.
