I've just had some new spacers turn up that I had on back order. They are very different to the old. They are a little thicker, have a smaller OD - i.e would not fill the hub and have an odd chamfer on the outside that I can see no purpose for. Dealer swears these are what the factory are supplying now

Can anyone offer any advice?

I had the shop rebuild my rear wheel with the allballs kit, they must have thrown out the spacer, and just run the bearings, it probably lasted 200 odd km before the sprocket side spacer broke the center of the bearing and ceased onto the spacer. Made a rather strange noise after that....haha. I was lucky it lasted that long though, because it happened after a ride where there were sections that were tapped in 6th gear over sandy whoops, would not have been cool for them to fail then.
The shop replaced them at their cost, with the spacer :) no problems since.

By the way I don't think Allballs supply the spacer. Never been one when I've bought their kits.

Oh ok, I wonder what the deal with that is, if you cant see a logical way that it fits they may have stuffed something up....


Thats correct, allballs do not supply the spacer so make sure to keep it!!!, and tell the shop that its there so they dont loose it. Not telling you ian, just a general warning

Thrown out to all Does the talon hubs have this kind of set up?

All Balls ? Are they any good I bought a swinging arm kit and thought the quality was fairly pants.

From what I have read the Talon hubs also have a dual bearing setup on the drive side. I have no idea if it's 2 seperate bearings like the GG or a dual row bearing which to me makes more sense.

anybody have the measurements?
 

so back to the original question: (dimensions of the spacer)
i would like to also know what the dimensions are, but at least the thickness(distance between the bearings). mine is worn and i would like to make a new one from stainless.
