48mm zokes?

Just wanting to top up the oil in the forks and have bought a cap spanner.
So far so good until I try to undo the cap?
It undoes to a point and then clicks like it is skipping over the end thread.
Do I need to remove anything else beforehand?
Thanks in advance,
Mark:confused:

Just looking at the manual I must have to pull the outer down I guess?
It is still in the bike so therefore I will have to loosen the clamps a little and slide the outer down.
Please let us know if I am incorrect.

G'day wence, if your changing the outer oil, wheel, brake calliper off, loosen all triple clamp bolts, slide out forks, undo cap, slide down black slider ( I think that's the part you werent sure about) , invert fork over oil catching bucket. if you don't have a set of soft jaws for your vice, then handlebars off, slide up forks up in clamps slightly to clear the bottom bar riser, softly tighten bottom triple (soft), undo cap. If your doing the inner chamber as well, you'll need to follow the manual. You can buy a cheap rain guage from a 2 dollar shop and add 320ml each leg. Cheers

Cheers mate,
Been a long few days .
I figured I would have to lower the outer instead of trying to pull the guts out
Thanks for the help mate.
I am just about to add about 30mm to each leg as the fork is consistantly clunking on the stop after any sort of jump.
Cheers Mark

clunking! think you should do a search, i seem to remember someone solving this issue - dont have the zokes so did not pay too much attention to it

think it was about a year ago when the first 2012 came out

Clunking on compression or rebound?

wence 04-30-2013 02:35 PM

I should have said bottoming out I suppose. Just cluncks as the fork bottoms out after a jump.
Cheers Mark
