23 ounce flywheel weights
Just got in some flywheel weights from my friends at S3 in Girona, Spain. I must have used the conversion chart wrong as I thought they would be 8 ounce weights. I grabbed one and holy crap for big n heavy! 23 ounces!!!!
Apparently in Europe they sell alot of these. Anyone interested or should i send back? |
You mean they put these on the 2k-3 flywheels?

I've made a 45 ounce for my friend's 300 with a 2k2 flywheel, and my god it's a tractor now. It take the revs just fine but it takes a while before it comes down again, he almost crashed the bike when testing it, he pulled a wheelie and he couldn't bring it down again:eek:..

23 ounces? Wow, that has to be only for a 2K2. You'd likely need a deeper ignition cover to get it on a 2K3.
It might be worth having a local shop machine them down a bit. Is the mass all centered close to the crank? If they have a small OD, the flywheel effect will not be as great. |
different riding
Here is the quote i got back from S3 when i asked again, "are you sure these are for 2k3 ignitions and people use them?
Hi Mark, YES! Good riders also like this! We sold MANY here in Europe. Kind regards. Interesting, may have to try one. |
I can't imagine anything that heavy. I can see it in Europe though, where a lot of guys grow up on trials bikes.
