A bit of an idea of terrain around this part of the world.
Recently had a x country 3hr/6hr which used half mx track then continued out towards the ocean in a 25km loop around the back of the highest hill.On the seaward side we dropped way down into a scrubbed gully then turned back up into a 700ft loose dirt hillclimb under canopy.Top guy did 13laps in 6hrs!! (Yz250x)
I was sweep.

Someone really should have thrown a drone up,it would have made a sweet promo for what will hopefully be an annual event.Rules of the class meant no gopro.Shotgun start

Yeah m8 it is,the high point in pic is 411m,and drops to sea level rapidly.The hills closest to sea are my home patch,the mx track is 3km from the front door,and hidden over the back in the bush we also have a decent amount of singletrack,some cut by yours truly,and some a former national x country mtb track.Not a bad spot for a gg to call home..

That water looks like it would hold a few hours of fun as well!!

Sounds similar to where I am too. Coast to the east, 400m elevation to the west.. bit of up, down and around to be had.
