Last time I went I thought the red flags meant 'don't go near the red flags' where as they really meant 'fuck off!', we had a pleasant time being chased by the army!! Best area was the tank playground, but it's been about 6/7 years so I couldn't tell ya!

The plain was ok lots off hard packed roads and most backed up with byway signs. The red flags was not flying so the ranges was closed. We spoke to some people and one fella said the sacked the range wardens another said there more relaxed as they employ civvies to run the ranges, also there at the end of there budget or something alone those lines
It's worth a visit but get a os map, there is the drivers training area in Tidworth

Most of the plain byways arnt signposted you really need a guide to make the most of it. Don't believe everything that people say about its become more relaxed 2 months ago there was a major crackdown with the police out in force to stop illegal riding and riders, helicopters too, so no outrunning those...

It's on my doorstep and know a fair bit, but still couldn't tell you how to get place, I just put my compass head on.for the decent stuff u need someone with local knowledge.if you do go off piste just don't stick around drawing attention and carry on going.they do have land wardens and clampdowns but there mainly after illegal bikes.
I would take you up there, but I only get out every 2-3 months and it's usually a spur of the moment thing and only know day or 2 before.if I do plan to go out ill give u the heads up.

There's an annual charity bike ride up there end of the year, iv been on the last couple, there bit Thame but is a good day out and 80+ bikes that attend so bit of a social day aswell
Probably your best bet.. Have a looksie
