I like it, thats good rad protection too.

It looks like a 5 gallon tank. One downside to having fuel in the radiator scoops... if you crash/catch a tree and pull back a radiator scoop, then the tank can develop a crack and leak. My friend had something similar for his KTM and it happened on his first ride. Oops!

Is that a gas tank on the back too? Looks like it might be bolted/attached to the rear fender and has a cut- out for the seat.

Those Safari tanks are 3.6 gals. and are available for the 2t's from '07 on, and for the FSR's from '08 on. justgastanks.com has them. They also have some interesting auxilary tanks and bladders.
One of my friends has the Ktm with the same style tank and it's held up really well. I like the fact that it's a little lower than the more common oversized tanks. |
For a good look at the Safari tanks on a GG 4 stroke

Can anyone comment as to whether the Safari tank will work with the Meca-System radiator braces?

Frank,
I'd just ask 'em if it fits, buy it contingent upon that, and return it if you can't make it fit. Lotsa tanks... http://www.justgastanks.com/store/in...&cPath=1_16_98 |
Has anybody bought from justgastanks ?** Lotsa misimformation on the tanks, such as 2t tank uses stock fuel pump* etc.
