premix ratio for 300 two-stroke

I just picked up this quad and LOVE IT!! However, there was no owners manual. What is the best premix ratio??? I read on one of the sites about 80:1??
Is this correct?? I run 50:1 on my KTM:confused:

The actual oil mixture you use is a matter of personal preference.

The manufacturer lists 50:1 with a synthetic oil. But I prefer to run 36:1 with a good synthetic. More oil in the mix provides a greater amount of lubrication for the bottom end. The extra oil also provides greater ring seal and serves as a medium to transfer heat away from the piston.

I look for a JASO-FC rating on the two stroke oil. This is a japanese spec - only a top quality synthetic two stroke oil can meet this spec.

GasGas Trials bikes run 80:1 (mostly very low rpm, lots of idling, very mild tuning). Some oil manufacturers will tell you they can run 100:1, but I wouldn't do it in any motor I own. I run 80:1 in my trials bike though.
