My son's first solo ride (not GasGas)

My son (almost 3) has been riding with me on various bikes and sleds since he was 9 months old. He's now doing laps around the yard (proud moment:D) on the ATC70. Don't worry, the throttle stop is screwed way in. Tonight we worked on shifting into first and neutral. He can't wait for the next time to ride! I don't think he'll be asking to ride the Big Foot Power Wheels anymore;)

That's awesome bro its always cool to see your boy on a bike for the first time. I got my boy his first bike a couple months ago, he's almost 4 and doing great with the braking throttle And kicker believe it or not!

Sweet! Did you do training wheels or not? How beat has the bike got in the learning process? I better get the old Z50R out soon too.

I put training wheels on it while he's learning the controls and to get a feel for how the bike moves when he turns the wheel. I just made sure the throttle lock was set low so he can't move to quick on it because he loves to twist the throttle. I also have him on a pedal bike with hand brakes instead of the pedal brake to get him use to using his hands on the bars. My friends were shocked when they saw how proficient he was with the controls and standing up so young but I think the pedal bike helps out tremendously. My biggest fear was him not putting on all of the gear but he wears everything from head to toe with no complaints, even the full face Helmet.

I did the training wheel thing on a PW50 with my boys too. Now the 14 yr old is taller than me and will debut a KX125 in the Schoolboy class of the adult race as soon as Lacrosse is over.
