quad question

are the gasgas quads fuel injected? do they come with a tether? i want to hill climb my 450fse in AMA events and tethers are required. the ones that ground the coil will not work. any ideas?

Most of the new atv's and bikes that have a battery (electric start) use a different type of CDI for the ingition. It is easy, all you have to do is get a N.C. (normally closed) tether switch and rewire using the stock on/off switch. This way when the tether is pulled power is dropped to the CDI, killing the bike.
Do some research, I know that Pingel Racing has some and I seen them in the Parts Unlimited catalog. All of the aftermarket CDI mfg. say DO NOT use
coil type Killswitch as it will eventually damage the CDI.. Let me also say that YES it will work the old way but the way the eletronics in the CDI ramp up
voltage to trigger the coil, they cannot handle being shorted directly to ground... very bad in the electronic field since all digitally controlled equipment runs on control signals that are either +5 volts or 0 volts... ;)

My 04 450 quad is fuel injected, it has a teather attached to the bike near the fuel tank plus a kill button.
