2011 xc 300 odo/speedometer ?

I looked at a 2011 xc-300 on Sat and must say I was impressed with the bike except for the fact they don't come with a odo/speedometer. anyone know what the factory unit would cost?. I guess a Trail tech would be a option. It is after all an enduro right?

I believe Trail Tech is the factory supplier.

Are the 2011's as beautiful as everyone says. Word is the pictures don't do it justice.

YES! The colors are so bright, its hard to capture with a camera. Matter of fact...the wife likes the GG red so well, she had our kitchen painted the same color!

She's hard core, what can I say? :D

I put the Vector on mine...ordered it for a Gas Gas...and never had to cut a wire
everything plugged right in...and the speedo sensor wire has a spot to place it right along side the brake line.....I also put the coolant sensor inline between the thermostat and the cyl head to keep an eye on the temps

the Vector was about 100 bucks or so....

I like that you park your bike in the "recreation" room.

I wanted to order a Vector the other day but I decided to do some more research first. Not trying to slam the guy that answered the phone at TT, but he didn't seem to be aware they had a product that plugs into the GG wire harness. Can you tell me which p/n you ordered? None of them list GG in the applications.

Also, which temperature sensor did you use? Can you post a pic of your installation of it?

Bikes in the Rec room......talk about a bone of contention !!

But I feel its one less thing(or three) to worry about in the winter (ie theft) I bring the bikes inside...

However.. the part number for the proper trail tech is an 665- 85102 this also fits Bergs and KTM...

I used the inline water sensor(thermistor) and placed it between the thermostat and the cyl head....note the position of the thermostat under the upper shroud opening.....and the sensor is below that

pics here shown

Also the taillight/mudflap is a Acerbis unit...not the one I started out with DRC unit but the LED packed up after a few hours and was not able to get warranty ...I went with a more trusted ACERBIS brand second time round....the bike has 6 hrs total so far

LOL !!! yes the Husky's are clean too !!

my clean up is minimal but effective

spray it off good with pressure washer...lube the chain real good

then spray bike liberally with the secret......:D..do it while the bike is still dripping wet

(mix Armour all with water in a spray bottle 50/50) dont wipe it off....and dont use full strength its slicker than snake dung

been doing it for years...bikes look like new and clean up quick
