Trials Boots for big Calves!
 

Hello from a Sunny Scotland. Looking for any UK recommendations for trials boots. I have a UK size 9 shoe, so I get a UK size 10 boot. Can't even close the velco strap around my 19" calves.
Don't really want to get a UK size 11 or 12, just to fit my calves and be floppy in the foot.
Any recommendations are much appreciated.

I have the base Gearnes and "standard" sized calfs and they are pretty tight (although reading the thread below it seems the gaernes are a bit shorter and stop below the largest part of the calf

Just tried size 10 and 11 Gaerne Pro Balance boots, can't close either. Seems the room around the calves is the same, just the foot size changes.
I can close the straps, but theres the gap between the buckle and the strap won't close and still really tight at the top with half the velcro connected.

Anyone know of ankle high boots? I'm not competing, just social play riding.

FYI....just got a set of Gaerne All- Terrain boots. More expensive then I'd like, but they fit.
The buckles are adjustable! Even on the smallest buckle setting with the straps at max, I can close the boot, with exposing the webbing. These are size 11, I should be on a 10.

Hope this helps anyone else with fat calves.

And...they are hand-made in Italy with super quality and will probably last a really long time. They will probably provide great feel for the shifter and brake pedal, while providing good protection and great comfort.
