Remember when you guys did the GGriders stickers for sponsorship....Could we do poll and see what interest you get and maybe organise some GGriders shirts that could help pay towards the costs of the site.

I for one would support the idea as the site (and the technical gurus on it) is a excellent resource for information.

Just an idea

As far as the t-shirts go - I do appreciate the thought - but, my time is very limited and even running to the post office every couple of days doesn't really work for me.

After the first of the year - we are going to approach more dealers & importers to kick in and those that we gave free advertising til now will need to kick in or drop off the list. So I will have a 2009 sponsorship team, etc. If that doesn't cover all costs - then we will start asking members to kick in and donate via paypal.

I would like to re-iterate that this site is not for profit and is "owned" by the gasgas community. This keeps it clean in terms of anyone being able to come and participate and the costs will be low so that any dealer can afford to advertise her (unlike other sites which cost *alot*).

Thanks,
jeff

I think if we could come up with a good way of distributing the t-shirts, it'd be a cool idea. I'd wear one with pride. I stuck the GasGasRider.Org sticker on the back of my pushbike helmet, and I ride that thing everywhere hahaha. My mates always know who I am as a whizz past them while they walk.

I'd be more than happy to kick in some money towards the site without t-shirts though, its a great resource to have

All it takes is for someone to volunteer to do it.
I wish I had the time to do it.
We already have the template to do it.(just use the fender decal)

I would be intereted in helping out if there is a way to do it, my mother inlaw does shirts, and i think she still has the silkscreen machine, i'll find out and let you know.

tshirts

Hey,

there is always Cafepress.com, my son has a few shops on there and it seems pretty painless. I would bet he would even set it up if you wanted..

I don't think you can make as much money on there, as opposed to running your own operation, but it is a thought..

I keen to do it and at our exchange rate, you guys will be laughing.

Please send any artwork to brains2@iafrica.com

Lets see what I can come up with:)

Cafe Press is a great idea

Cafe Press is a great idea, here's why:
Anyone can submit a graphic design for a t-shirt, coffee cup or your girlfriend's knickers.
We could have several designs that look good, but there might be one that everyone really wants. It's a great way to test out a design to see which one everyone is willing tyo spend money on.
Then if someone wants to step up and create/sell it we know which one to create.

Sound good?

I'll be blunt - "No".

As I stated previously - selling the GasGasRider.org fender stickers was, to put it mildly, not an entirely positive experience for me...

- someone else started it and then it kinda got dropped in my lap...
- time at the post office filling out customs slips for international orders...
- tracking payments, shipping & packaging.
- bounced checks - I got a few checks back from my bank marked "insufficient funds" and "account closed". Argh.

So bottom line from this direction - until I get sponsors lined up and, if necessary, augment it with member paypal donations to cover costs here -I won't entertain any further discussions of stickers, t-shirts, etc...

I will be posting announcements in the coming days concerning the great GasGas importers, dealers and vendors we have supporting this site.

Sorry - but 'first things first"...

That there is a fair enough reason Jeff.

Thanks for your consideration anyway
